INTERIOR OFFENSIVE LINEMAN
SCOUTING REPORTS
"Every great team that I've been on, the offensive linemen was the bell cows of the whole team."
Scott Frost

OL1 GREY ZABEL/ NDSU/ 6"6/ 305 LBS/ LATE 1ST
Pros: Versatility, Height, Athleticism

Cons: Pass block power, sloppy footwork

Archetype: Balanced

Comparison: Cody Mauch

Scouting Report: Grey Zabel is a versatile OL that has experience playing LT, RT, and LG. He has a tall and long body that allows him to use his leverage and technique to his advantage when blocking. He is a good athlete and shows potential to block in zone or gap schemes. He is very light for his frame and that shows against stronger edge rushers when he gets blown back at times while setting his anchor. He also didn’t play against elite edge defenders at the FCS level, his one on one reps at the senior bowl has lowered my doubts. Like his former teammate Cody Mauch, a position change to interior OL is probably best for his NFL career in the long term.

OL2 TYLER BOOKER/ BAMA/ 6"4/ 320 LBS/ EARLY 2ND
Pros: Leverage, mauler, nasty streak, strength, durability

Cons: Bend, pad level, hand placement, speed

Archetype: Run Blocker

Comparison: Kenyon Green

Scouting Report: Tyler Booker is a mauler in the run game. He knows how to use his leverage and uses his strength and feet to drive opponents off the ball, creating lanes for the running back. He has an incredibly high motor that plays until the end of the whistle and he is pretty sturdy in pass protection too. Unfortunately he doesn’t have great athletic traits and his position of guard lowers his draft value rather than helps it. The good news is that he is a high end prospect that could be drafted in the bottom of the 1st round or be an early day 2 pick up. Tyler Booker is a great prospect that played against high quality competition and comes from a reputable program like Alabama that continues to produce blue chip prospects season after season.

OL3 DONOVAN JACKSON/ OHIO STATE/ 6"4/ 320 LBS/ LATE 2ND
Pros: Good Base, Second Level, run block power,

Cons: slow pass set, heavy feet, Guard?

Archetype: Run Blocker

Comparison: Dion Dawkins
Scouting Report: Donovan Jackson has two grades for me…One as a OT and one as a G. He has experience playing both, but his skill set and ability really lean more towards Guard at the NFL level. He is a bruiser as a run blocker, he has great strength, and a high motor, all quality traits in an IOL. His feet are heavy at times and he looked lost on the edge against arguably the best pass rusher in this draft from Penn State. Ultimately I kinda liked what Jackson was able to do inside, but the value of IOL is not as high as a OT. I think he would be a good pick up in the mid or late

0L4 LUKE KANDRA/ CINCI/ 6"4/ 323 LBS/ EARLY 3RD
Pros: Awareness, second level climb,

Cons: Stiff, high pad level,

Archetype: Run Blocker

Comparison: Ben Powers

Scouting Report: Luke Kandra is a good power run blocker. He has the ability to climb to the second level and moves well for his size. He sets a good anchor and is able to handle power rushers. He is a bit stiff and finds himself head over toes which leads to missing blocking assignments. He is a leader and all the traits to be a day two pick and potentially a fringe starter during his first couple of seasons.

OL5 JOSH SAVAIINAEA/ ARIZONA/ 6"4/ 320 LBS/ EARLY 3RD
Pros: Intangibles, Size, Strength, IQ

Cons: Athleticism, IOL? Flexibility

Archetype: Run Blocker

Comparison: Sean Rhyan

Scouting Report: The Arizona RT projects better as a IOL at the NFL level, but his versatility to play both are intriguing. He has good size, technique , and motor skills that allow him to block in a power run scheme and his ability to set an anchor on the outside shows that he can stop bull rushers from collapsing the pocket. The problem is that he has heavy feet and struggles against speed rushers. That’s why a move inside would be best suited for a player with his skillset. I like him as a day two prospect that can hopefully come in and be a rotational offensive lineman and fringe starter after a season or two of development.

OL6 TATE RATLEDGE/ GEORGIA/ 6"6/ 320 LBS/ EARLY 3RD
Pros: Size, Flexibility, leadership

Cons: average blocker, athleticism

Archetype: Run Blocker

Comparison: Mitch Morse

Scouting Report: Tate Ratledge is a huge Offensive Guard prospect from Georgia who demonstrates quality OL play on tape. He has good strength, keeps his hands inside to avoid penalties, and has great awareness when picking up blitz and stunts. He doesn’t have the best athletic traits as he is slow and flat footed at times, and his durability is a question mark after missing a good part of the 2024 season. The positional value for IOL is low and being able to get a prospect like Tate Ratledge day two or later would be a great pick up.

OL7 MARCUS MBOW/ PURDUE/ 6"5/ 300 LBS/ MID 3RD
Pros: High Motor, Length, get off speed

Cons: super raw, technique,

Archetype: Run Blocker

Comparison: Elton Jenkins

Scouting Report: Mbow is a raw OT prospect that projects better inside. He has good high motor skills and quick bursts off the ball. He shows flashes of good strength and run/pass block work, but he struggles at times with his below average technique. He is also very light weighted for a OT and the amount of hurries he has given up over the past couple of seasons is almost as concerning as his durability concerns from his season ending knee injury back in 2023. I think Mbow might have a tough transition to the NFL, but in the right developmental system and scheme he could become a serviceable swing guard.

OL8 JARED WILSON/ GEORGIA/ 6"3/ 310 LBS/ MID 3RD
Pros: Athleticism, Versatility

Cons: Run Blocking,

Archetype: Pass Block

Comparison: Zac Tom

Scouting Report: Jared Wilson is a work in progress center that needs time to develop and gain strength. He has decent size and moves amazing for a OL, but he doesn’t block well in the run game, often whiffing or getting blown up at the line of scrimmage. He can be a backup center and potentially a starter after a couple of seasons, but I don’t see Jared wilson being an immediate impact guy.

OL9 CHARLES GRANT/ WILL&MARY/ 6"4/ 300LBS/ EARLY 4TH
Pros: Long frame, athletic, 2nd level blocking, upside

Cons: Sporadic feet, thin, high pad level, competition

Archetype: Run Blocker

Comparison: Nate Davis

Scouting Report: Charles Grant might be from a smaller school, but when you put on the tape, there is something special about him as a prospect. He has good height, incredible arm length, and is probably the most athletically gifted OT/OL player I have seen this year. That being said Chalres Grant is a projected OL and as I have him projected as a lean OT that could shift into guard right now. He is under weight and stands straight up when blocking. His feet are ok, but he needs to clean up technique, put some mass on his lean frame, and show he can get down and dirty with the big school prospects before drafting him. He has something to him, but his potential is not enough to gamble a higher end pick. I like him as early day 3
