College Career Summary
Carson Beck’s career is a study in perseverance and high-level execution. After spending years in the system at Georgia, including serving as the backup during two National Championship runs and starting throughout 2023 and 2024, Beck made the high-profile decision to transfer to Miami (FL) for his final season. The move was designed to showcase his ability to thrive in a more voluminous, pro-style passing attack—and it worked.
At Miami, Beck revitalized a Hurricanes program, leading them to an 11-2 record and a trip to the College Football Playoff. He displayed remarkable consistency, finishing the regular season with a career-high 74.5% completion rate (ranking second nationally). While he faced some mid-season interception struggles, he ended the year with 26 passing touchdowns and solidified his status as one of the most "NFL-ready" processors in the 2026 class.

NFL Scouting Report
Strengths
Elite Processing Speed: Beck is arguably the best pre-snap operator in the class. He identifies defensive rotations instantly and rarely targets the wrong read.
Prototypical Pocket Presence: At 6'4", he has the "stature of a statuesque" pocket passer. He climbs the pocket with subtle, expert footwork to buy an extra second of vision.
Accuracy at All Levels: He has a "natural" arm that delivers the ball with appropriate touch on fades or high velocity on tight-window "dig" routes.
Vast Experience: With 40 career starts across the SEC and ACC, he has seen every coverage imaginable and won't be rattled by NFL defensive complexity.
Weaknesses
Struggles Under Duress: His production dips significantly when the pocket is breached. He is not a "creator" and can be prone to "panic throws" (see Louisville 2025).
Limited Mobility: In an era of dual-threat stars, Beck is a throwback. He offers very little as a scrambler and will struggle to evade NFL-speed edge rushers.
Volume Variance: When the running game isn't clicking, he has a tendency to "press," leading to multi-interception games where he tries to force the issue.
Scheme Fit
Primary Fit: West Coast / Pro-Style Timing. He is a hand-in-glove fit for a team like the San Francisco 49ers or Minnesota Vikings—systems that prioritize a QB who can stay on schedule and distribute to playmakers.
Scout's Final Word
"Carson Beck is the most 'professional' quarterback in this class. He doesn't have the elite rushing upside of an Avery Johnson or the 'magic' of a Dante Moore, but he has the highest floor. If you give him a clean pocket and a system based on timing, he will look like a 10-year veteran from Day 1. He is a Lock for a Day 2 pick and likely the one of the first few QBs off the board."
Draft Projection: (Round 2 or 3)
